(5207) Elkington drainage system, Sink-hole drainage
A system of drain pipes or tiles similar to the cutoff drainage system and used for the same purpose, viz. to intercept seepage water. The Elkington system has, in addition, wells dug at regular intervals to let the water come up from a lower stratum and enter the drain.
